| Interesting Happenstances Regarding the Birth of My Daughter.
My daughter, Umbriel Xia Buist was born on October 16, 2009 at 4:43pm. Her name comes from one of the moons of my favorite planet, Uranus.
I discovered recently that the planet Uranus had a rise time of 4:44pm on October 16. Which means that just as she was being born the planet which her moon orbits began to rise. Strange!!!
Another strange happening that occurred with Umbriel happened when we took her for her first Doctors visit. There was another little girl in the waiting room with us. When the nurse called her name I could hardly believe my ears. Her name was Ariel. Ariel is also a moon of the planet Uranus. The Moons Umbriel and Ariel were both discovered by William Lassell on October 24, 1851. WEIRD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Umbriel is also 16th moon in order from the planet Uranus, and my daughter Umbriel was born on the 16th. WOW!!!!!
I’m not saying any of this has any meaning, it’s just strange and interesting.

I did some stargazing through my binoculars and was surprised by a bright streak of light. It was most likely a meteorite but it could have been a firefly zipping though my field of magnified vision. | | |

I found The Pleiades star cluster. It wasn't hard to find. I could see it with my naked eyes. It was beautiful, very beautiful. I first found it in my binoculars. Then I got my telescope. It actually looked better in my binoculars. It was more stunning to see it with both eyes.
I also tried to find the Flaming Star Nebula, but couldn't detect it. | | |
| My telescope is not working. It had a motor failure. It still moves from side to side, but not up and down. It's a real bummer, because I really want ot find Uranus (yeah make you jokes), but now it's going to be much more difficult. I have to move it up and down by hand now. It's hard to make tiny movements by hand. I've got to figure out how to fix it.
